ECO Resource Recovery Centre Pte Ltd (ECO-RRC)

ECO-RRC was established in mid 1997 to provide waste management services for solid non-hazardous wastes. Located on a 3.4 hectare plot of land, the plant is equipped with a large sheltered purpose-built recycling centre to sort and segregate recoverable items. A wide range of recycling equipment such as baler and compacting machine is used to process the recovered resources.  With these services in place, ECO-RRC assists in the reduction of waste sent to the NEA’s disposal facilities, hence complementing the NEA’s 3Rs concept (reduce, reuse and recycle).

1.0 Haulage Services

ECO-RRC operates a fleet of mechanized waste disposal trucks equipped with on-board rear loaders. Industrial and Commercial Waste is collected from our customers' premises and transported back to our plant. We are equipped with a GPS monitoring system to cater to the different needs of our different customers who generate varying amounts and different types of waste. As soon as our customers inform us that the bins are full, with the aid of the GPS monitoring system, we will determine the most efficient service route for our trucks and the types of trucks to be used. This will also ensure maximum utilization of our resources.

2.0 Tipping services

Some of our customers choose to send their waste to our premises and unload it at ECO RRC’s recycling centre, a process known as tipping. We are equipped with the machinery and equipment to assist in the unloading of bulky items to our sorting centre. This service provided would help to ensure that the waste adhere to the NEA’s disposal size restriction before they are sent for disposal.  

3.0 Asbestos Removal and Disposal

ECO-RRC being the NEA licensed asbestos disposal company, has a team of qualified personnel to advise and execute asbestos removal and disposal operations.

4.0 Disposal and Destruction

This service involves the physical destruction and disposal of confidential material and information that are required to be securely and permanently removed. This is done for a number of reasons, like product defects, shelf-life expiry, against unauthorized access because of business information control etc. It includes material like business documents, equipment with on-board proprietary information, specific building fittings and asbestos, phased-out old generation equipment, etc. A Certificate of Destruction will be issued to the customers upon completion of disposal.

5.0 On-site Waste Management / Waste Recycling Programme

ECO-RRC brings its service right to the doorstep of the customers by segregating their wastes at source. This approach serves large waste generators very well as their wastes are taken off their hands the moment they are discharged from their production process or users. Their wastes are properly segregated and accounted for, and recycled or disposed off through the down-stream waste management processes of RRC, freeing the customer totally from any further waste disposal responsibility and activities.

6.0 Car Scrapping Services

ECO-RRC has a team of skill workers capable to provide efficient and professional vehicle scrapping services that meet all the requirements set by the Authority at competitive pricing. The operation allows a fast turnover of vehicle scrapping services with appropriate equipment for efficient and safe operations. The premises also enforce strict control and security measures to prevent theft and possible abuse of the system.
